Reiki

Reiki is the japanese word for "universal life- force."

As with Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is based on the idea that the life-force is what animates you and flows in and around your body along meridians or pathways, and a blockage in this flows will cause illness.

Reiki was developed at the end of the 19th century by a Japanese Christian thelolgian, mikao Usui. he was so challenged by the healing powers of Christ as told in the Bible that he dedicated his life to searching for the answer. Y+ears of study and meditation culminated in Reiki, a system of healing in which the practitioner is a channel for energy to flow into the patient were it is recieved at the point (s) of greatest need of imbalance to assist healing.

CONDITIONS TREATED

Reiki is recieved and used by the patient in the way it is needed. This means that it can help with a wide variety of conditions, including acute physical problems or problems of a long-term emotional nature.

WHO CAN'T BE TREATED?

Reiki is suitable for everyone even children, pregnant woman and people in the later stages of terminal illness.

WHAT HAPPENS AT A CONSULATION

For a treatment you'll be asked to lie down fully clothed on a table and relax. The practitioner gently places his/her hands for a few minutes at a time in a sequence of positions covering the whole body.

Each session lasts up to an hour.

Dr. Usul discovered ancient texts written more than 2,500 years ago that described a formula for Healing.

The text was incomplete but he worked through the writings and revived the Reiki process. I t is also stated Reiki started in the late 1880s. The same teachings are now practiced world wide by many thousands of Reiki-Masters and practitioners.
